Meg Jackson

Meg Jackson is a graduate from the University of Newcastle, being awarded the Bachelor of music (performance) with distinction in 2021. Meg completed her degree on the Norman Bushman scholarship for voice and was awarded a college medal for academic excellence. Meg is an accomplished vocalist, with her most recent achievement being a gold medal the ‘2020 World Championships of Performing Arts’ hosted in the United States. During her studies, Meg developed an interest in music research, specifically in music for emotion regulation. Meg is now employed at the University of Newcastle as a research assistant for Associate Professor Helen English. In this role, she is working on the project “Creative ageing through transformative engagement with music” which is funded by the Australian Research Council
